Hands on Learning

At Wright School of Excellence, we believe the best learning happens when children are actively engaged—and having fun! That’s why we embrace a hands-on approach that turns lessons into exciting adventures. Whether they’re exploring science through messy experiments, counting with colorful manipulatives, building structures, or creating art from their imagination, our students learn by doing. This style of learning helps kids retain information, build problem-solving skills, and connect concepts to the real world. Most importantly, it keeps them curious and excited to come to school every day. At WSOE, we don’t just teach—we inspire a lifelong love of learning through play, discovery, and creativity!

Reading & Art lessons

At Wright School of Excellence, books and paintbrushes are some of our favorite teaching tools! Our children dive into the world of stories with excitement—exploring new places, meeting inspiring characters, and building strong literacy skills along the way. Reading sparks imagination and opens the door to endless learning adventures. And when it comes to art, we encourage kids to express themselves freely—whether they’re painting, crafting, or creating masterpieces with their own two hands. Both reading and art help our students think creatively, communicate their ideas, and discover the joy of learning in the most colorful, magical ways!

Weekly Chapel

Each week at Wright School of Excellence, our students come together for a special time of connection, faith, and joy during Chapel. This meaningful part of our week includes uplifting Bible songs, age-appropriate scriptures, prayer, and interactive lessons that help children grow spiritually in a fun and engaging way. Chapel encourages kindness, gratitude, and a deeper understanding of God’s love. It’s a time when our school family unites to reflect, sing, and celebrate the values that shape beautiful hearts and minds. We love seeing our children light up as they learn about faith in a way that’s joyful, loving, and easy to understand!

Free play time

At Wright School of Excellence, we know that some of the best learning happens when children are free to explore, imagine, and play their own way. That’s why we make plenty of time for free play every day! Whether it’s building towers with blocks, playing dress-up, creating with art supplies, or diving into dramatic play, our students get to choose what excites them most. Free play encourages independence, creativity, and social skills—and most importantly, it brings smiles and laughter to every classroom. We believe that when kids are having fun, they’re not just playing—they’re growing!

Field Trips

Summer at Wright School of Excellence is full of excitement, exploration, and unforgettable memories! During the warmer months, our students hop aboard the WSOE school bus and head out on fun-filled field trips to explore the world around them. From parks and museums to bowling alleys, splash pads, and more, every trip is an opportunity to learn, play, and discover something new. These adventures are not only exciting—they also build social skills, spark curiosity, and create lasting friendships. At WSOE, summer means sunshine, laughter, and a whole lot of learning beyond the classroom!
